The Philippines' leading carrier Cebu Pacific currently operates a daily ATR 72-500 service from Tacloban to Cebu, and a five times daily Airbus service from Tacloban to Manila.

The lowest possible year-round ‘Go Lite' fare for the Tacloban-Cebu route is P988. For those going from Tacloban to Manila, it's P1,188. Passengers with check-in luggage will just add P100 upon booking.

Bus and ferry passengers are also encouraged to try an airline alternative for their travel needs since Cebu Pacific can get them to their destinations faster at comparable fares.

For flight schedules and bookings, passengers may log on to www.cebupacificair.com, call the reservations hotlines (02) 70-20-888 and (032)230-88-88 or visit the travel agent nearest them.

PAL'S DO'S AND DONT'S POLICIES

Passengers are only allowed to bring 20 kilos of baggage for the Pal Flight and 10 kilos for the Pal Express while only seven kilos for the hand carry baggage.

Passenger must be here two to three hours before departure time to avoid delays and must check their electronic tickets before their flight.

Bringing live animals are not allowed inside the plane.

Passengers may bring baby formula, breast milk or juice if a baby or small child is with them, prescription medicine with the name that matches the passenger tickets, insulin and essentials and other non-prescription medicines.
